May is Healthy Vision Month. There are several things you can do to ensure healthy vision including: quit or never start smoking; eat a nutritious and colorful diet; wear sunglasses while outside; wear protective eye wear while cleaning or using power tools; rest your eyes every 20 minutes by viewing an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds to reduce eye strain caused by computer or screen usage; and get a yearly comprehensive eye exam.
